Ruth trained and qualified in Worcester as a Registered Nurse in 1995. Post registration she worked for nine years in both acute surgical and medical settings within the NHS. Ruth has five years experience working on a Critical Care unit looking after both adults and children; she also gained a further diploma in critical care whilst working in this field.

In 2004 Ruth joined a leading community care business specialising in providing complex care packages for young adults in their own homes. During this time she gained great insight and experience in the setting up and management of bespoke care packages. Ruth worked closely with the Clinical Director assessing and setting up new packages of care on a nationwide basis.

Ruth joined Spirit in March 2011 as Head of Service development specialising in assessing clients with complex care needs, developing appropriate packages of care which promote both client well-being and independence.
