Tess worked as a Dental nurse for several years before starting her Nurse training and qualifying in 1994.

She spent 13 years working as a staff nurse and a Sister in Intensive Care Units in two North West Teaching Hospitals, looking after children and adults with a wide range of critical illnesses.

Tess left the NHS in 2007 to join a private care company, initially as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and subsequently as Senior Nurse, specialising in providing packages of care for those with severe disabilities and complex needs in the community.

Tess joined Spirit Care in April 2011 as Head of Nursing and leads on clinical matters and governance in the business. She is also responsible for the line management and development of nurses in Spirit.
